iPhone Poker App Released by SwitchPoker

Switch Poker App for iPhone – 7^th October 2010

Incredible news for online poker players with an iPhone – Switch Poker have finally released an official iPhone App that allows you to play real money poker games on your iPhone/iPad.

It is the first iPhone App of its kind, since Apple had previously refused to allow third party poker Apps which used Flash software since it used up too much bandwitch and was unreliable.  The Switch Poker App however, which is available to download from the Apple iTunes store, uses in-browser software for all its games.  This works fine across both Edge and 3G networks.  The release of the iPhone Poker App happens to come just a month after Betfair released their iPhone Betting App in September 2010.  This allows users to bet across any of Betfair’s existing sports betting in live in-play markets as well as the financial and political markets.  You can fund your account, manage it, make withdrawals, and even take part in the Fan V Fan betting system where you can both lay, cover and set the odds for your teams and bets.

Switch Poker has stated that users will be able to play No Limit 6-max games from 1c/2c up to low stakes $1/$2 cash tables.  Unfortunately, the App doesn’t cater for full-ring games just yet, but the developers has ensured that they are working on supporting full-ring, PLO, SNG, MTT and Pot-Limit games.
