At the high end of the MTT spectrum, high stakes regulars will be used to dominating the large Sunday tournaments and look forward to the WCOOP, FTOPS and UBOC each year.  This article shows where to find the best high stakes poker tournaments.  High Stakes Poker Tournaments are regarded as events with a buy-in of $200 or higher.

Titan Poker  – Get a $500 Bonus!

Along with running their own high stakes poker series, the European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) which comes with a $2.5 million prize pool, Titan Poker also do well to cater twards their  high stakes players.  The biggest event at Titan is the Sunday $250k Guaranteed which runs every Sunday at 19:00 GMT with an entry fee of $320.  A number of  daily high stakes VIP tournaments can also be found here, and they run satellites to the Irish Open and Aussie Millions.

Party Poker – Get a $500 Bonus!

Party Poker used to be the biggest online poker room and still offer some great tournaments for high stakes players.  The Party Poker Sunday $300k is their biggest weekly tournament with a $215 buy-in.  We also recommend for high stakes players the Sunday $100k Guaranteed with a $530 buy-in.  The Party Poker Monthly $1 million is the biggest regularly scheduled tournament they run taking place on the first Sunday of each month, this has a buy-in of $640.  Aside from this, Party Poker also runs a number of high stakes satellites to live events (the Party Poker.com Million IV for example) and runs $2000+ buy-in SNGs.

Other High Stakes MTT Choices:
These rooms are currently offline but were great choices in the past:

Ultimate Bet

My personal favourite tournament site for high stakes games is UB.  Here you can find high roller deep stack events during the week, big guaranteed tournaments and even knockout bounties.  The biggest tournament is the Sunday $200k with a $215 buy-in.  This has a solid structure with 5,000 starting chips and 15 minute blind levles.  Many UB pros play this event top – with $215 bounties on their heads!

On Sundays at 18:30 you can play the $500 buy-in $50k Gt (6 seated), on Tuesdays there is a $500 buy-in $75k Gt Deepstack, and during Saturays UB run a $20k Gtd PLO Deep Stack Event ($200 buy-in).  Along with the $200k Gtd on Sundays you can play enter the $500 buy-in $100k Gtd Deepstack.

On the first Sunday of every month, UB schedules a $1,000 buy-in $128k Gtd Heads Up tournament.  High Stakes players can also take adavantage of the UB’s giant million dollar MTT weekly, monthly and annual leaderboards and the leading RAI$E loyalty program.

Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker also runs a great schedule of high stakes MTT events, and because they focus their energy on attracting professional players alot of their big tournaments have a slow blind level structure that benefit skilled-tournament players.  They run some massive online high stakes knockout tournaments and deep stack events during the week, plus many of their guaranteed tournaments have a $200 entry or more.

The biggest weekly tournament is the $750k Guaranteed which has a direct $216 buy-in and draws around 3,500 entrants, making it reasonably good value.  The Sunday Brawl 350k Guaranteed is very popular among high stakes players,  this is a knockout style tournament with a buy-in of $216 and $40 bounty on each persons head. The $1 Million Monthly Guaranteed is the largest tournament at Full Tilt with $535 buy-in.  Full Tilt Poker also runs the FTOPS, which has tons of high stakes actions and events every year – the main event being the $500 buy-in tournament with a $1.5 million prizepool.
